Fulton R. Green, Jr., 69, of Bassett, transitioned on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at the Veteran’s Hospital in Salem, Virginia. He was born in West Virginia on May 21, 1947 to the late Fulton R. Green, Sr. and the late Mary J. Green. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked at Fieldcrest Mills for 40 years, retired from the Henry County School system and worked at Enterprise until his sickness. He was a member of the Chestnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He served as a Deacon and a member of the Usher Board. He was faithful in serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Fulton is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Linda Green; five children, Vixen Tinsley, Kelly (Sheryl) Green, Stephanie Easley, Trekeyta Easley and Aree Easley; one brother, Cleveland (Sheva) Green; one sister, Mary (Eugene) Martin; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Alexander officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12 pm to 2 pm prior to the service and other times at the home, 3510 The Great Road, Fieldale, VA 24089.
