Vehicle Crash Claims Life of Dry Fork Woman

A Dry Fork woman died in a vehicle crash Sunday morning on U.S. 58 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia State Police said. According to a VSP news release issued Monday, the single-vehicle crash occurred at 2:40 a.m. Sunday on U.S. 58, three-tenths of a mile east of U.S. 855 in Pittsylvania County.

Brittany Alyse Brideson, 25, of Dry Fork, was driving a 2008 Nissan Rogue traveling west on U.S. 58 “when the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned,” the release stated. Brideson was ejected from the driver’s seat. She was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene, according to the release.

Virginia State Police continue to investigate the crash.
