Myrtle Blankenship Gregory, 99, of Ashburn, VA passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017. She was born on September 2, 1917 in Union Hall, VA to the late William Thomas Blankenship and Bertha Perdue Blankenship. Her husband, William Henry Gregory pre-deceased her.
Mrs. Gregory was a member of McCabe Memorial Baptist Church and had worked at Jobber’s Pants Factory, Cross Knitting Mill, Pannills, and Sales Knitting Mills.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in law, Mary Ellen and Roshan Chaddha of Ashburn, VA; brother, Charlie Blankenship of Sandy Level, VA; grandchildren–Arun Chaddha and wife Kelly of Middletown, NJ, and Shalini Seoni and husband Charul of Leesburg, VA; great grandchildren – Maya, Leela, and Akash Seoni and step-great-grandchildren, Michael Purifacto and Anthony Purifacto. She is also survived by three nieces and 1 nephew on the Blankenship side and many nieces and nephews on the Gregory side.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Rev. Lewis Harris officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park.
