Martinsville Police Investigating Malicious Wounding

MARTINSVILLE, VA – Monday around 10 pm officers responded to the 200 block of Moss Street where they were told a person had been taken to the Martinsville Hospital with a gunshot wound. The Hospital treated an adult male for a non-life threatening wound to the stomach. He was later transferred to the Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.

Police are looking for a black male in his 20’s or 30’s with shoulder length dreadlock hair possibly driving a white Lexus. The dreadlocks may have been cutoff. The U.S. Marshals office is in on the investigation and police are asking for the public’s help. If you know of the whereabouts or see the individual being sought, call Sgt.
