MARTINSVILLE, VA –Malik Devantae Manns is wanted for the March 13, 2017 shooting that
occurred in the 200 block of Moss Street. The three warrants issued are all felonies and are for Malicious Wounding Victim Severely Injured, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Discharging a Firearm in a Public Place Causing Injury. Malik Devantae Manns has a date of birth of 11-05-1996, is 5’10” tall and weighs approximately 160 lbs. His last known address is 95 Jonathan Way in Henry County. Malik Manns is considered armed and police are asking if anyone knows his location to call 911 or (276) 638-8751 or anonymously at (276) 63CRIME (632-7463).
MARTINSVILLE, VA – On March 13, 2017 around 10 pm officers responded to a disturbance
call in the 200 block of Moss Street. When the officers arrived, they were advised that the
subject involved in the argument had been taken to the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County Emergency Room with a gunshot wound. The victim, an adult male, had a single non-life threatening gunshot wound to the torso. The victim was later transferred to Baptist Hospital in North Carolina.
Several witnesses are co-operating with the investigation. We are currently looking for a black male who has shoulder length dreadlock hair or may have shaved the dreadlocks off today. The male is described as being in his 20s or 30s and is possibly driving a white Lexus.
The United States Marshals Service, USMS, is actively assisting with this investigation.
