The Henry County School Board no longer has a vacant seat. On Tuesday night, board members named Teddy Martin II to fill the spot left empty after the death of Reed Creek district member Betsy Maddox. From the time of Maddox’s death on March 18, the school board had 45 days to name a replacement. Martin will now serve through November, when an election will be held to name a Reed Creek district representative for a new term. Martin currently works as a HR Benefits Specialist at Patrick Henry Community College and said he plans to run for the seat in November.
