Kroger to End Use of Plastic Bags

Kroger Company has announced a 7-year plan to end its use of plastic to bag its groceries. Kroger is the nation’s largest grocery chain and has operations in Martinsville. With 2,779 stores, Kroger goes through 6 billion bags a year. McDonald’s has already announced plans to stop using plastic straws over the same period of time.
