Circuit Court Clerk Ashby Pritchett issued the Oath of Office to newly appointed Council member Jim Woods at Tuesday night’s City Council Meeting.

Also at the meeting, Council decided to pay the YMCA $50,000 a year to take over the Parks and Recreation program. The “Y” will now run the city football, basketball, and baseball program, among others. City Manager Leon Towarnicki says the change will save the City as much as $40,000 a year.
