Groupons are accepted! Explore the lore of dragons, the impact these creatures have had on societies across the globe, and the science behind the growth and dissemination of their myth! All of the sights and sounds that make the myth of dragons so alluring will be in full force throughout the day!

The Martinsville Senior Center would like to invite all seniors 50 years of age and older to attend Wednesday morning bible study class with Pastor Zeke Zanatos. Mtn. View Church of God of Prophecy, 436 Mtn. View Church Road; Patrick Springs. During the morning service, the children will be celebrating all the blessings of the harvest with special music and children’s sermons. Following at Noon we will have lunch, an inflatable “The Mystery House”, Games, Crafts, Trunk of Treats & BINGO. Pastor Tom Warren and the church family invite kids of all ages from 0-100 to attend.

The Chamber Music Ensemble is returning to Patrick Henry Community College’s Walker Fine Arts Theatre for its fall the concert. On Sunday, October 28, hear the ensemble – a company of professional, collegiate, and community musicians – at 3 p.m. in Patrick Henry Community College’s Walker Fine Arts Theatre. November is Cultural Awareness Month – The Recreation Ministry at the Cherrystone Center, 5551 Tom Fork Road, Ringgold, VA, will present a Culture Awareness Fashion Show on November 4, 2018, 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Our focus will be on African Culture. Come by Spencer-Penn for a fun, family-friendly afternoon! Doors open at 12:30 with Forever Young performing at 2 p.m. A food truck will be on site for lunch and children’s activities will take place in the Centre. Admission is a $4 recommended donation.
